Middleware for Designing, Printing, Viewing & Management of Labels, Signs, Tickets & Forms

We can provide a range of Middleware solutions to assist the software developer with the printing, viewing and management of labels, signs, tickets and forms. Templates are created using one of the sign and label design tools, including EnSign for Retail in-store printing applications and EnLabel for product and supplier labelling.

Regular users of these printing components include developers of retail EPoS systems, warehouse and supply chain solutions, ERP and MRP systems and accounts based packages.

The tools available have been developed for integration into third party systems to provide powerful printing, template viewing, text handling and data management functionality. A selection of the components available are detailed below.

EnGine

A component for the printing of labels and signs from any system

Integrate EnGine into your application to print bar codes, labels, tickets and forms. Templates are created in minutes, data is sourced from your database or text file and EnGine will print the formatted results on any printer using Windows drivers.

Design a layout template using EnSign or EnLabel
Source data from your application using the template/data connectivity wizard
EnGine will merge your data with the template and control printing tasks

EnView

An OCX control for printing and on-screen preview of template layouts

Like EnGine, the component EnView will enable you to integrate printing into your application. This OCX control will not only provide printing functionality, but shows an on-screen a preview of template layouts.

EnText

An OCX control that acts as a simple word processor

EnText is an OCX control that acts as a simple word processor. It will let you create formatted text and save it for use when printing templates when using EnGine or EnView. Ideally suited to applications requiring comprehensive rich text handling such as extended description control for retail ticket printing solutions or risk and safety phrase control and formatting for chemical and pharmaceutical label applications.

User access and logging and report writer

This program gives you control over access to the template design and printing applications. Users can be given a user name and password and assigned various rights. There is also a logging facility to record printing activities.
