Panasonic ZE - 79 Built in CCD Scanner, 5 free Data Capture programs, CCD terminal with 16-bit CPU running DOS based operating system, up to 2MB RAM storage, backlit LCD and keyboard. Two options are available: ZE-79DM units will read bar codes up to 70 mm wide and are supplied with 5 free data capture programs. ZE-79DW units will read bar codes up to 85 mm wide. Optical communications are used between the ZE-79 and cradle, eliminating contact wear. The cradle is also used to re-charge the internal 450 mAH NiCd battery pack. Application generator software is available to allow non programmers to develop and modify their own data capture routines. C programmers can use any popular 16 bit compiler - we provide a programmer's kit comprising communications program and a programming manual which details all device specific BIOS calls.
