Powerful
Adding a Bar Code Module does not affect the normal operation of the printer. It simply extends the printer’s command set to include bar codes, large characters and box drawing. Specialist module output can be mixed with normal text and printed anywhere on the page, allowing maximum design freedom.

Easily Integrated
Programming the Bar Code Module is very simple, a single command generates a complete bar code. All major bar codes are addressed and can be produced on any existing program - simply precede the data to be encoded by the selected trigger code and the bar code will be printed. If the program can print the data normally then it is a simple matter to turn it into a bar code. To print a Code 39 bar code encoding ABC123, all that has to be sent is <ESC>ibABC123\. If it is difficult for your application to send an escape code then alternative codes are available.

Compatible
All Image Bar Code Modules use the PCE command language. Programs developed for one printer type will work with other types fitted with a module. Upgrading to a faster printer for an application is possible without software revisions. Units are available with parallel or serial interface or appropriate conversion for twinax or coax applications to the host. Image are continually developing modules for new printers. Bar Code Modules are available for a wide range of printers, including laser, dot matrix, ink jet, thermal, thermal transfer and shuttle matrix.
